The subject is my twin brother, Sean.

As a child, he fainted with excitement on the morning of a school trip.

This was how he described it.

Wean (pronounced "wane") = child in lowland Scots

It was the excitement of it

That stole his senses

The school trip

Overload

Wean’s wean’s wean’s wean’s wean’s

No no no no no

Well well well well well well…

Hi Talisker. Do children ever get so excited these days? We had so little to get excited about really, so when the one opportunity came, we were all the same. ha ha. I didn't actually faint with excitement, but when the Sunday School Trip to the zoo in a local town arrived, we were absolutely besides ourselves with excitement, and I remember all the children were leaning out of the window of the dirty old steam train, screaming with excitement. You'd think they were on a spaceship to the moon. It certainly couldn't have been more exciting! Thanks for bringing back the memories.
