Half a pound of freckles

Half a pound of freckles
    or so
    I think
God played connect the dots
    and made you
    joined one to the other
    one to the other
        with skin
What will His picture do
Will it
    stand up and hold me
    offer me wine
    bear me a child
hold my hand as sight grows dim
Or will it move
    animated
    a walk cycle that grows
        ever more distant
Freckles fading

Interesting view. So the freckles came first?
