First haiku attempt. If your hotel is around the corner of O'Connell's
street and you need to buy stamps for postcards, where to go else?

I came over to buy stamps
And see bullet holes |

I can't really comment on it's effectiveness as a haiku as i don't have a clue but i like this. Everyday life as affected by conflict etc.... You definitely have used form, content and language in a meaningful way and you have painted a good mental image in the mind of the reader. Well done Fledermaus. I am very impressed.
