Midnight

midnight on the cold hillside

his hand around hers

gazing together at the

inky star-sprinkled sky

denim-clad legs entwined

the last wine bottle emptied

tongues, lips blue

but neither care, as scarlet shadows

sway past the vigilant moon

he hums to the dance

wondrous times will shake the earth.
