Reports are emerging that Peter ( I’m not really t’ripper – I only did 4) Sutcliffe has been enjoying days out from Broadmoor mental hospital where he has been a patient since being found guilty of murdering prostitutes in Yorkshire in the late seventies and early eighties.
According to sources, Sutcliffe has been spotted in the nearby village of Crowthorne in Berkshire enjoying a walk through the quiet streets. He was accompanied by a nurse, Percy Tuat (apparently pronounced Twayte). They spent some time wandering the streets chatting to unsuspecting locals and enjoyed an ice cream from a Mr Whippey van parked outside the local girls school.
At one stage Tuat was so engrossed in talking to a local girl that he didn’t notice Sutcliffe had wandered off alone into a local hardware store. We spoke to the store owner, Diggler Cockin, who told us he didn’t realise it was the infamous Peter Sutcliffe. Mr Cockin went on to say that he thought Sutcliffe seemed, “a decent sort o’ bloke”. Asked if he’d made any purchases, Cockin told us that t’ripper had expressed great interest in a hammer and screwdriver has he had a bit o’ work to finish off and his own tools had gone missing.
When challenged about the outing, a Broadmoor spokesman, who wouldn’t give his name, told us that the visits to the local community were all part of a long term strategy to assess the feasibility of integrating long term mental patients back into the community. When asked if that was altogether wise in Sutcliffe’s case, the spokesman replied that he – Sutcliffe – was a model patient and that he hadn’t killed any prostitutes now for over twenty years.

I expect once he's released they'll all be terribly shocked when he uses those tools to finish off his "bit o' work". You also brought in strategy and integrate all words loved by politicians; they make them sound as if they are doing something really complicated and important and we shouldn't worry our silly little heads about it. Actually this has the scary tang of possibilty about it,you touch on so many things that people really say. Like the bloke who said he was decent, you always get some burk saying how ordinary these killers seemed. Plus the monumentally stupid things they do to cater for their human rights A roundabout way of saying I thought it was a great little sketch jane | Written by Phil (6713 comments posted) 24th August 2007 | Enjoyed this too. Not OTT, just enough of the real in it to make a chilling laugh. Knbowing the way our justice system works - they'll give him a new identity, a million pounds in the bank and a house next door to a female only open prison. I guess one problem is that it's still all relatively recent - I mean you can take your children to the "Jack the Ripper Experience" down the London Dungeon, and everybody recommends it as a perfect day out. Certainly put me off Mr. Whippy for a while... | and another thing ....... Written by Bagheera (683 comments posted) 31st August 2007 | | ......... people who ought to know better are already talking about "treating" the 'clearly very troubled person' who killed Rhys Jones last week, rather than punishing the +***!$%$* | Written by jimbo (83 comments posted) 11th September 2007 | How long until everyone gets 'treated' BEFORE they commit a crime? You know ... 'just in case'. And what will that treatment entail? (Hold on, there's a satirical story there somewhere ...) Anyway, a sharp, knockout jab of satire. Really liked it: '...Peter ( I’m not really t’ripper – I only did 4) Sutcliffe...' I think that was my favourite line, amongst quite a few goodies. Cheers. Jim |
