The English Privateer.

Heave Ho, Heave Ho
me hearty lads
a sailing we will go,
we will make our gain on
the Spanish Main
a sailing we will go.

from Havana to Panama
all isles between
we shall rape and we shall plunder
those golden Spanish whores,
we will take their gold
they shall walk the plank
to Davy's Locker they go.

Spanish heads we crack
Spanish virgins take,
no mercy do we give
no penance do we make
Spanish gold is our desire
Spanish gold we will take.

remember all you jolly jacks
teach your kinfolk true
let all men be in fear of
The English Privateer.

Effective in that it has the rhythm of a sea shanty.

Phil.
Thanks

Good poem! You could have used even more pirate slang, but it certainly has an atmosphere.
