Recollections & Perceptions

Again, constructive criticism is greatly appreciated, as would be title suggestions.

A flood of recollection
forgotten moments
echoes of yesteryear
shown as fleeting shade
brings a moment's reflection
interrupting an everlasting mirage
viewed by the mind's light
with disillusioned elegance

an endless space
filled by eternal flame
azure and amber
the shadows flicker
before they too fade
and so we defer again
to current perceptions

I can see what some might like in this, I can see effective phrases. To use one of my friend's favourite expressions: it's a bit piss elegant for me. I liked the idea behind it - just a little smooth for my personal taste.
