The Elephants Mourn Pavarotti
By Talisker
06 September 2007

We elephants loved Pavarotti.

It took our big ears to catch

all that billowing voice,

our big hearts

to store it.

Today, our elephant tears

stain the great savanna.

Tomorrow we trumpet

in his honour.

I'm sure the elephants would have said this Oli. They are said to be very sensitive animals. Well done.

But why are you still contributing to a site you obviously have contempt for? Why should you want to illicit our opinions?

I like the sentiments and think they are well expressed. I love elephants and opera.

Liked this. Childlike in its simple, direct delivery. Effective.
