A newly crowned champion faces his first World title defense. My first work In the locker-room I await my judgement call. When the short hand reaches it's destination on the face of the clock it will be time to confront my destiny.Poised on a bench I hold my title or should I say my life? The road was so treachorus to achieve such an honour that I question my ability whether or not I can defend it. So I waited, intermediatley swigging my bottle of water asa feeble attempt to calm my nerves. Every muscular judder that flowed through my body made me quiver as if somone had treaded over my grave. Only thing that kept my head focussed was the fact I was caressing what so many dream to achieve. The World Wrestling Heavyweight Championship was no laughing matter. In the match a wrongly timed manuever can leave with me with a career crushing loss or worse a career ending injury. As time ticks on queu I stood up ready to wage war. In my wrestling attire I marched across to the door and swung it open with unprecendented agression.Perhaps for the last time.I proceeded down the corridor passing fellow colleagues, every individual I crossed gave me a nod of respect. Some would say I had gotten used to this treatment but that was not the case. Knowing so many people look up to you and expect so much is a scary thought to say the least. Yet this was not the time to question that. With the title perched across my right shoulder I waited behind the stage, waiting for my entrance to begin. A sound echoed throughout the arena. The sound was my oponents music. I could hear the ring announcer calling his name and the fans reacted with a roar of applause. This caused my heart to shrink. Do the people want me to lose this? I thought to myself.Beyond my will I found my legs moving towards the curtain. The stage suddenly erupted with my music. I tediously passed through the red curtain to find myself at the mercy of a sold out crowd. The roar of the crowd was deafening, and the pyro technics did not help my ears either. Fireworks soared into the air blasting multiple colours over the audience. To not discourage the fans of my confidence I arrogantly raised the belt above my head as a sign that I will never let it go. I trekked down the ramp keeping eye contact with my challenger. My challenger looked a small built man but from his past record he is rumoured to be very experienced. A man of whom gains such an oppertunity is not going to be a rookie. Entering through the ropes I could feel the adrenaline flowing through my veins. The crowd's chanting made my head feel light yet at the same time focussed. In the corner I leaned my bodyweight against the corner post and began to stretch as the ring announcer did his job.Flexing the leg and arm muscles ready to lock horns with my challenger. The challenger looked incredibly young for his credentials. No scars or marks upon his body was concerning. I had thoughts and contimplations whether he was ready for the shot. Such consumed thinking came to a holt as the referee snatched away the title from my waiste. Holding it above his head the crowd reacted with electricity. Awaiting to have there purchased tickets forfilled. As the bell rang I circled the ring waiting for the challenger to make the first move. He was calm yet was breathing to heavily for my liking. Before a wink of an eye we ended up locking arms. In the grip it was about power, I put full force into my left leg which was the one furthest infront. I could feel his strength, as he tried to use the power game to his advantage but it was no use. In the heat of the moment he released the hold. Once again I circled the ring in preporation to pounce. I saw a chance and lunged, it did not connect. He dodged out the way of my arms and landed a viscous drop kick to the chest. I immediatly hit the floor. Before I could catch another breathe he hooked my leg for the pin. The referee counted to two when I through my shoulder off the canvas. Rolling on to my stomach I knew trouble was ahead. The challenger buried his knee into my spine and pulled my neck back. A well executed submission move, contradictory to this he made a grim mistake. For I was close to the ropes. Grabbing the bottom rope infront of me I managed to force the referee to break the hold. The challenger backed off like a starving wolf. Unhappy that his meal was interupted. I used the middle and top rope to hoist myself back to my feet. I approached my oponent but in a split second he locked me back into a hold. A headlock to be exact. Carelessly not enough pressure was applied and I managed to slip my head out from his grasp and lock my arms around his waiste. Behind him I picked him up into the air and slammed his stomach to the canvas with my arms still locked tight around his stomach. Using my legs I managed to step in a circular motion around to his head and quickly exchanged my grasp from his mid section to his shoulders. I began to slowly squeeze. Hoping to weaken his upper body to benefit any pin I made. At the same time it acted as a submission manuever. I heard the referee ask the challenger whether he wanted to continue. Mumbles on the mat could be heard as my oponents face was consequently shoved into the canvas. In a safe position in the ring I glanced across the arena and noticed the fans were not as amused as I had expected. Relunctantly I released the hold leaving the challenger bewildered in the centre of the squared circle. As he rose to his feet he grabbed me by my arm and through me against the corner post. My back collided with the padded steel causing my spinal cord to shake like a tree in hurricane. I looked ahead to see the challenger charge with his arms raised to clothesline. I ducked out the way causing his to crash into the corner shoulder first. Hurt I crouched to the floor waiting for the challenger to turn around. It was clear that he recieved a heavy blow to the shoulders off that error in his judgement. To my dismay his back still remained in my sights. Frustrated I stood up and locked my arms around his waiste once again. With no signs of resistance I lifted his body over my head and delivered a german suplex. The suplex made the ring vibrate from the impact. Once it hit I kept my arms locked and my body slanted as the referee went to count my challenger for the pin. On the two count his body springed out of the pinned. His whole body projected itself away from my hold. The clapping of the crowds told the story. That this style of wrestling would please them. As we both made our way to steady ground, I went for the aniative and stormed ahead running with all my bodyweight behind me. The challenger saw the overlooked state in my strategy and skipped out of my path. Resulting my body to rebound off the ropes. As I flailed towards my oponent I saw him jump in the air to hit another drop kick. I hit the floor without a chance of steadying my balance. My neck snapped back as it hit the rough canvas. Agitation forced my body to raise back up but only came into contact with my challenger's boot as it struck my temple. Looking towards the lights my vision started to blur. This was potentially the life ending injury that I had thought about. With thoughts of despair at mind an earie feeling made it's prescence felt. The feeling of the challenger's hands on my head, lifting me to my feet. He thrusted my head into his right arm and lifted my trunks with his left. Elevating my body in the air. A stalling suplex was in my oponents mind. Only thing that could be done was too brace for impact. Expecting to fall back I suffered a grim reality. Instead of falling onto my back the challenger dropped me verticle. I dropped onto the back of my head. Without hesitation we went back for the pin. Unfortunately for him I kept my right shoulder up. With no desire to let it down. Once again he picked me back up. And put my body in the same predicament. With my head locked in and his other arm ready to lift my body.He was planning to hit the same move twice. In desperation I began to strike him with knees to his gut. Striking away untill he released my head. He ended up bent over clenching his stomach in agony leaving me a wounded oponent. With his arm I tugged along my shoulder and landed a judo flip takedown. This did not settle well with him as he arose back up charging towards me like a Jackel. I ran towards him and met with a clothesline dropping him back to the floor. I reached down to pull him up. I wrapped my hands around the back of his head slowly dragging him towards his feet. Before a wink of an eye he broke my grip and hit a low blow as the referee was behind me. He withdrew his leg swiftly away from my groin as I landed on the floor. Gold had driven the challenger to do any tactic. Fair or cheating. The crowd reacted with an array of negative chants. On my back I saw the challenge climb to the top rope of the near corner post. I saw his knees bend preparing to hit an ariel manuever. He released the power in his legs to summersault far into the air. Aiming for my carcass. Instinctively I rolled out of the way as he collided with the floor. I swung my body weight back as soon as I heard the impact. My challenger had knocked the wind out of himself. Taking the oppertunity I rolled his legs up for the pin. My eyes clenched as I heard the referee count. As soon as it came to two and a half he kicked out with all his leg power behind him. I threw my arms across him to steady myself as we both made it to our feet.We started exchanging illegal fist blows to one another to the referee's dismay. The referee's complaints never stopped our exchange of shots. Suddenly I saw the challenger attempt another low blow but caught his leg just in time. He started to beg for mercy, yet the crowd was not at all fooled. Using the fans reaction I delivered elbow shots to the challengers face, with his leg still held in my other hand. After a few strikes to his temple I pulled him towards me using his straddled leg. As he fell towards my direction I sharply kicked him in the stomach. The kick made his body drop infront of me. I pulled his head between me legs and lifted him verticaly into the air. The fans screamed in anticipation of a piledriver. And that got there wish as I dropped onto my tail bone. The drop forced the challengers head to hit the ground with an amazing impact. His body slumped onto the mat as if he was lifeless. I threw my body across his and awaited the referee to count. Before I knew it I heard the three count. My music hit amongst the cheering spectators. The referee went across the ring to fetch my belt. As he handed it too me he raised my hand for all the world to see. My challenger scampered out of the ring like a broken man, as the referee raised the winner's hand. The winner being I. I am the World Heavyweight Champion. The only way your going to get this title off me is by prying it from my lifeless body.
