Reflection On A Wet Sunday
By Talisker
16 September 2007

A fool was I to miss the here and now,

distracted by the wiles of there and then.

A million moments passed unseen,

like motorway traffic in a dream,

under the bridge of my cognition.

And there was I staring, rather blankly,

at a road map, upside down.

A simple but universal piece that all should be able to access and relate to. This would sit well with your poem: To all the poems that I've forgot. (I think it was called.)

Line five broke the rhythm for me. Deliberate?

Liked it.

Oli.

Although the subject matter of your poetry is not always to my liking, there is no doubting the quality of your compositions. However, this piece; along with Tattooed Vampire, managed to hit my rather *obscure/surreal/vague/G (*delete as applicable) spot, a chuckle as well, so well done.

All the best (and I hope the champagne keeps flowing your way for another three games),
Steve.
