On the white throne he sat,
reading the back of a shampoo bottle
for the umpteenth time.
The acts of reading and shitting
had become inextricably linked.
The latter now required the former.
He hoped in earnest that the converse
theorem would take some time to apply.

I do worry that if I ever take it to bed to read I may have a Pavlovian experience.
