War Time Sweetheart
By halina

I miss the way you kissed my love
the way you used to smile
the time we spent together my love
for just a little while

Since you've been gone,
everyday is like winter
I see everything in darkness
and have no sence of direction

Oh how I wish that you was still here,
to comfort me like you used to
but I know that those days have gone
and that could never be

But you are always in my heart
My dearest Henry

I hesitate to comment. Henry may have left, he may have died. Whichever, I hope things are better.

To address the poem. You've got the words, but the tone doesn't quite suit the theme for me.

Phil.
