Just a bit of fun

Round and round the mulberry bush

                    Until I feel quite dizzy

I fall and land on my mush

                    The whole world's gone fizzy

                    Sing a song of sixpence

                    Or is that twenty p

                    I don't know the difference

So I'll have a cup of tea

                    Baa baa black sheep

                    You really are quite cool

                    Very hip and trendy

Spare us a bit of wool

Jack and Jill went up the hill

But Jill was in a mood

Jack blamed it on the pill

So Jill said he was rude

                    Twinkle twinkle little star

                    You've got the X factor

You'll need to buy a bigger bra

                    Size really does matter

The Grand Old Duke of York

Has lost all of his men

He really is a sad old dork

                    He's off his face again

Humpty dumpty sat on the wall

He really should have known better

Pushed, but made to look like a fall

And he wasn't wearing a sweater

Here's a challenge for you: Jack and Jill went up the hill etc. They hadn't learnt that water runs downhill and that any water would be at the bottom of the hill in a stream. I have tried alternative nursery rhymes for my grandchildren, eg: There was a young woman who lived in a flat; she had two little children, a Kev and a Pat. She gave them some soup and some nice crusty bread, and kissed them both sweetly and put them to bed. However, my little granddaughter, at an early age said: "Granny, have you heard the other one?" Playschool always gets there first.

thank you all for your kind reviews.

These really are just a bit of fun - I was trying to finish my latest chapter and I just kept getting these silly rhymes in my head :roll I thought if I wrote them down I'd get rid of them - hope they made a few of you smile

It was quite a treck to track you down to do a "thank you reveiw".

I agree with the previous posts in my words, "short, sweet and silly",
