Live your childhood fearlessly kids. It's the most wonderful part of your life!

ADVENTURES OF LITTLE JOHNNYByJohnny D

Once upon a time, in a small town village of India, there lived a little boy with his parents, three brothers and three sisters. The little boy, as you have guessed right, was popularly known as Little Johnny. He was a very bright, cute and fair child of the family. He had lovely greenish expressive eyes and his golden locks attracted one and all in the locality. Little Johnny was fearless and very naughty too. He often landed himself in trouble and used to get beatings from his mother.

Little Johnny’s cuteness attracted young and elders alike, who loved to pull and kiss his chubby  cheeks and play with his golden locks. These acts surely infuriated Little Johnny to no end. However, he could never avoid them. He wished people would leave him alone, to be in his own world. His dream world was a world, where he can play freely, fearlessly and be content to enjoy nature’s splendour. Little Johnny always was fascinated by his father’s army uniform. He was very proud of him. Whenever elders used to ask, “Little Johnny what would you like to be when you grow up?” Pat would the reply come, “An army officer like my daddy!” He would then stand with great pride and salute imitating his daddy amidst laughter of the elders.

Little Johnny’s fearless attitude, bright eyes, cute and innocent look made him very popular among elders and teenage girls used to adored and love him. However, there were certain ladies, his mother’s friends, who used to hate Little Johnny for one reason. One evening, Little Johnny was playing with his friends when suddenly he ran towards his mama, who was chatting with her friends. He immediately grabbed his mama and started drinking milk very lovingly to boost his energy. Little Johnny was four and half years and still drinking mama’s milk, which really surprised and shocked the ladies. His mother smiled at her friends and within minutes, Little Johnny was back with his friends playing and full of energy.

No sooner had Little Johnny joined his friends, his mother’s friends asked in bewilderment, “Sister, he is so big now, why do you still feed your milk to him?” His mother smiled and said, “My Johnny doesn’t like any other milk!” His mother’s friends were speechless and looked at her in surprise and awe!

As darkness arrived, Little Johnny returned home after playing with his friends. His mother loved him very much. She wiped him clean and changed Little Johnny’s dirty clothes with new set of clothes. His mother said, “Johnny you must stop now to drink my milk. You have become a big boy now. People say – shame-shame, a big boy is still drinking mama’s milk.” With his innocence Little Johnny asks, “Mama, is drinking milk a bad habit?” His mother smiles and nods her head while kissing him lovingly. Knowing well, Little Johnny would never understand elders’ talk and concern, she hugs him with all her heart.

Not one to give up so easily, Little Johnny’s barrage of questions start, “Mama, why do people ask you to stop feeding me milk? Don’t they feed their children mama?” His mother laughs and asks him to go and play with his brothers and sisters. It was difficult for his mother to answer all his questions. She had to prepare dinner for the family too. Little Johnny immediately runs towards his brothers’ room. They were all elder to Little Johnny in age and they were busy with their studies. So they ask him to go and play with his sisters. A little disappointed, he then runs towards his sisters’ room.  His eldest sister, whom Little Johnny addressed as ‘Didi’ adored him. He also loved her very much and in fact, she was like his second mother. In family, Little Johnny was only scared of his Didi.

Didi used to teach Little Johnny poems, alphabets, about numbers and also tell him bed time stories every night. Each night used to be a different story of fairies and animals. Little Johnny enjoys Didi’s company very much and was a very obedient student when it comes to learning. He sincerely learnt everything by heart whatever Didi taught him. After all, it was Didi after his mama, who used to shower all her love to Little Johnny. He enjoyed Didi’s attention and was very obedient towards her.

Little Johnny’s father was in the army and was fighting a war up front. Whenever daddy used to come for few days to spend time with the family, Little Johnny used to ask many questions regarding war. He would then carry his little gun and show how to fire enemies by making bullet sound with his mouth to entertain the family and neighbours. Till the time daddy dearest was with the family, Little Johnny would follow him everywhere and seek his attention. Full of enthusiasm, Little Johnny was very adventurous by nature. He was brave unlike other children in the locality. He was naughty yet very adorable for one and all. He was intelligent yet very innocent in many ways. He was a very good learner and loved one and all.

Little Johnny’s adventures are really interesting to find out. This is just the beginning of Little Johnny as week after week, his adventure will unfold with some mystery, fun and frolic.

Apologies if I'm wrong

Hi, apologies if I'm wrong here but, I'm guessing that English is not your native language as there are some obvious errors and oddly structured sentences. So, two questions: firstly, do you have a proof reader, and secondly, are you sure this will appeal to children. One problem with writing for children (on the net) is that only rarely do they let us know what they think.
Ummmm

I'm interested to know where this goes. I think it's good -not sure if it's for kids; - it's not the content, it's more just the flow of it - kids have such short attention spans that when ye move from the sister to the father they may get lost or forget.

other than that, I'm waiting for the next part :)
