An epiphany splayed upon dawns first light
Divine inspiration creativity defined
Ten seconds to go with your lungs fit to burst
This car crash stealing your best and your worst

Clinging so tightly your arms around her neck
The ripples lapping gently around this wreck
9 seconds to go before we face the end
With not much time to say all we wanted to say

We tried to let silence speak our words
We tried and we sweated but nobody heard
We tried everything but our lives have faded
The words ring empty no time to be persuaded

Being robbed of our lives the seconds tick by
Gasping for separation of body and mind
Time seems to stop
Her greatest piece yet to be written
Determination the key from this watery prison

This wreck set ablaze the elements fighting
Water air and fire
Life, love desire
Fighting it out dark lines slashed hard
Upon the paper upon our lives ending now this farce of lies

The epiphany revealed
Life more than worth living
The door kicked out, completion bubbles in
Heart stopped revived again
Her art lost she dreams she lives
