Come with me to the ponies!

In response to Josie's request on the Non-Fiction Section:

Help me to call the ponies! Shout, “Ruby! Mr T!”
That’s it, they’ve heard you calling and they’ll gallop here to me.

They’ve big hard hooves to run with, and hair around each foot,
and bony knees and fetlocks as black as chimney soot.

You feel the ground is shaking, but although they’re big and tall
you’ll see, they’ll join us quietly. They know you’re only small.

They’ve long black manes and forelocks, that swirl and swing around,
and great thick tails behind them that nearly sweep the ground.

And here they are to meet you – and don’t they both look grand?
What’s that? You’re feeling frightened? It’s all right, hold my hand.

Their noses have huge nostrils that puff like dragon smoke
but if you reach out bravely, they are velvet you can stroke.

Their big brown eyes are shiny in faces wise and strong,
with ears that flicker to and fro, and whiskers inches long.

They’ve great round furry tummies, that rumble like a storm,
and coats as thick as carpets, to keep them winter warm.

Although they’re full of power, their hearts are kind and true;
their minds are full of friendship to a little girl like you.

D’you want to sit on Ruby? Or little Mr T?
I’ll lift you up. You hold the mane. Now you’re as tall as me!

How lovely sue. Can I put it on the guest-page of my website too, for the children?

Yes, of course you can. It's just a bit of fun.
