There is truth in what
the wise one said
long ago in that place of angels
where the nights rain are soft,
as you lay by side me in
times of love and desire,
no greater sadness he said than
letterbox dreams that don't come true.
I left that place
where angels live,
I never heard from you again.

Liked it. | Written by audrie (454 comments posted) 13th October 2007 | | Lovely poem. I would only have altered 'nights rain are' to 'night rain is', but that is purely my opinion. Really liked this. | Written by Phil (6963 comments posted) 13th October 2007 | Yeo liked it too. I stumbled over the line Audrie mentions too, so perhaps needs a little attention. 'Letter box dreams,' lovely idea. Phil. | Written by maipenrai (784 comments posted) 13th October 2007 | Fellpony, Audrie, Phil thank you all for your comments. Bernie |
