Poison Ivy in Autumn
By andybyers
24 October 2007
The giant ones held
in their watery graves
from before the lengths of time we know;
they hungered once
held the sky, and called
    the world their own
It was taken from them
Inheritors, thieves, finders/keepers
    we hold the sky
    own the world
    hunger now, and rage

does this examine similar subject matter to my "Last Ships" poem that you reviewed, or am I just a narcissist?

I wish I could tell you that was on my mind when I scribbled it, Toad; I'm sorry. :) It's just something that poured into my mind yesterday and down my fingertips.
