I lived a long life before I met you ,

But when we began my life became true,

No longer the desperate need for a reason,

Wishing away every season,

The moment I met you my soul was alight,

The candle of life at last could ignite,

The blanket that covered my fear of emotion,

Had vanished into a field of devotion,

You help me breath,  you gave me a soul,

You opened my eyes,  you made me feel whole,

At first the feelings I felt were too painful,

A life without you would make me disabled,

But now you are here and I know who you are,

You've open my mind and opened my heart,

I never knew love , I only knew need,

Now the more that I love the less I feel greed,

I've captured a feeling that I'll never let go,

No matter what ,  it'll continue to grow.

Very beautiful, made me think of song lyrics.

One spag should be ' I never knew love, I only knew need,'

At first I worried: Uh oh, a love poem and AABB rhyme, but it turned out to be realy nice. It has a nice rythm.
