The Phoenix

Touch deep into the pain
Feel the sorrow in your hand
Drink deep of the love
You no longer have

Weep freely into the well
Love and pain seem to have no end
Oh, this earth is surrounded
Only spirit shall expand

We wander now
Like the rooks
Picking over damaged roots
They carry only sorrow
And they never look back

We wander now
Like the rooks
Picking over damaged roots
But one day my love
Who shall be the Phoenix?

All a little angsty and earnest for me. Not sure using 'oh' works too well. Maybe it just doesn't suit me.
