A more haunting follow-up to "plaster."

Each mirror is my window.

Every thing you are is me.

This decrepit framework

Is my silent medium.

Don’t lean too close;

It might not be the wallpaper

You touch.

Why do you look so worried

Each time you look in my eyes?

Never knowing if that’s you

Or your face inside the reflection.

It’s just thin metal

Showing you light’s effects

On everything around you.

Possession is a form of investment.

One day I’ll know what it’s like

To walk in your shoes.

Don’t lean too close

When you walk by me,

Like you don’t feel the same.

Don’t lean too close…

It is me you will be.
