Ooh. Dark.

...

Not.

As the new and old,

Before I was universal,

I had locked away

An idea they wanted.

Like a shell, it echoed,

Loud and powerful,

The ways of corruption

Amongst the powers.

I locked away the roots

Of old corruption there,

And went back again

Many times, taking

And giving the cycle.

It was a symbol to me

Of the meaningless

Nature of the beast,

And the liquid stock

I could grasp and hold.

The sacred river essence

That bound our tribe

For centuries before,

And just as easily

Set us to war and war.

Cut out my palm;

Save for the day.

Rain rain, go away.

Incantation lie:

Empty inside;

Empty outside.
