Tantrum

Spoken, not merely thought,
Not pivotting around some dusty idle day dream.
The words came out with clarity and resistance,
The friction on tongue and teeth grating out each phonetic point.
The stutter, subtle, almost cured
Lingered on the double l and tricky s of "sawllows"
A nervous gulp was overpowered
Which turned into an animal grunt...
Falling off the finess of the start of that strong sentence,
The anger boiled over, bubbling the language.
Spit and temper confused the girl-
Now blushing her point crumbles away
Shame and embarassment stick to her face in beg red blotches
And then the tears streak defiantly down her silent face.

Lucid - curious!

Lucid: My daughter has a slight lisp which I hope she will learn to correct with age. Such small faults can be such big issues, sometimes.

Curious:

Why are the red blotches begging?

Should it not be the tricky a & w in "sawllows"?

And was it meant to be a day dream or a daydream?

All trhe best,
Steve

to answer the curious bit...I can't type very well! So sorry they were two typos...beg should be big! and sawllows should be swallows..ay me!

However the speech impediment bit may not be so literal. I just hate the feeling of not being able to say what you mean when you're in a temper! Allowing unhelpful emotoins to make you seem childish!
