FRUSTRATED!!!
I am Lugh incarnated
I am master of all skills
My knowledge is great and wide
Willing to work everywhere
...
Unable to find a job
Hate writing applications

| Written by Fledermaus (3448 comments posted) 27th November 2007 | Thanks wt. It's said there is a shortage of labour in the Netherlands, but so far I haven't seen what they mean by that. If only I had studied technology or law... | HI Fledermaus Written by jean.day (2326 comments posted) 27th November 2007 | First of all you will have to interpret LUGH for me. But the poem says it all - and knowing your work as I do, I can believe that your knowledge is great and wide. What sort of jobs are you applying for? | Hi Written by maipenrai (784 comments posted) 28th November 2007 | what sort of jobs Fledremaus??? ever thought of talking to MSF Holland or MDM, ALWAYS on the look out for good people. Bernie | Written by Matthiasrising (32 comments posted) 28th November 2007 | This is dual-edged. I understand your predicament, but it seems to have given inspiration for a kind of angsty poetry I can appreciate. Maybe channeling that energy whilst on the search will aid you. I feel redundant. So I conclude by saying it both takes a humble stab at yourself and at many typical applicants. Good luck on the search! | Written by Fledermaus (3448 comments posted) 28th November 2007 | Thanks Jean, Bernie and Matthias. I realy hate the bragging style of what are supposedly good application letters, so I brag a bit in this 'poem'. Lugh is an Old-Irish deity. There is a famous story where he comes to a king's court and they won't let him in because they already have all sorts of craftsmen. Only when he tells them he is a master in every craft, they do let him in and he shows himself superior to all the other craftsmen. A rather arrogant comparisson, I know, but it's also a wink to all those arrogant application letters and the fact that I know I can solve a lot of their problems, but they leave me standing in front of the gate... Thank you all for the reviews and advice. | Written by Phil (6838 comments posted) 28th November 2007 | I hate applications, interviews - the whole thing - got to be done though. Good luck. Phil | Written by Fledermaus (3448 comments posted) 30th November 2007 | | Thanks Phil. I would prefer it to be done in another way. This is like applying for a student room... |
