Search for Serenity (1)
By maipenrai
30 November 2007
a bit of fun.

I felt peaceful and serene
as I gazed across the desert
at the setting sun,
for years, many years
I had searched for some
kind of serenity
seemingly in vain until
I had found this place.

I felt at peace,
Happy
with myself and nature,
THEN I SAW IT!!!
being gently blown by the desert wind
a crisp packet!
and I knew, oh yes I knew
that Bloody Linnekar
had followed me again.

Good one, Bernie. Crisp and light and no-one in-salted!!

Very funny, I like it. I am constantly irritated by litter bugs and what makes me cross is mothers walking alongside their children as they drop their litter and not even battering an eyelid. :upset
I think we need a little light relief on the poetry section.

A little bit of fun is OK - RIGHT!
This has the quality of a really well told story, maipenrai. The lead up sets the trap and this gullible reader fell right in - and laughed.
A not inconsiderable skill at work here.
A moral and a laugh. As I say - skill.
Well done.

hm
Thanks
