LEAVE ME TO DIE

This is for someone who will never make sense of it, or read it for that matter. Sorry you had to be victimized instead.

LEAVE ME TO DIE

By: Dawnelle Veltman

If you had the chance, would you kill me?

If you had the chance, would you set me free?

It doesn’t matter, because you don’t have the chance.

You don’t want the chance.

You don’t want me free, you don’t want me dead.

You just want what you want.

Nothing else exists. No one else exists.

If it’s not what you want then it doesn’t go that way.

If you don’t want me, you don’t want me.

There is nothing I can do about that one.

It’s all in my head. All in your head. All in our heads.

You’ll take what you want and leave me with the rest of my pieces.

You’ll never see how it hurt me.

You’ll never know. It’ll all be over soon though.

You don’t want to see it. You don’t want to see the pain.

And you’ll never fix it, because you will never change.

So leave me here with all my pieces, leave me here to die.

I don’t want anything from you.

I just want my pieces back, they are mine.

Why does it make sense for you to break me?

And take what you want, leaving the rest?

All broken like humpty-dumpy.

I’ve fallen from this wall you’ve built.

And now my insides are on the floor.

Trampled, I get broken even more than you did.

LEAVE ME TO DIE.

Puzzling. I guess some guy broke your heart in a not so nice manner? (not that it's ever nice, but I have met girls who had a talent for doing it with such charm one can only admire them for it).

If it's really as bad as I take it from this piece, just let it be. Break-ups hurt, but it's better to end things with happy memories than to go on arguing. They best way to get over someone is perhaps not to see that person ever again...

You've taken the first steps to being reborn by getting the pain on paper.
Punching pillows is also good therapy.

I agree with Fledermaus to avoid all contact, and as soon as you start dreaming those wistful little dreams, STOP RIGHT THERE and think of something else, do something else to fill your mind. Creativity is excellent therapy for depressing thoughts.

You will survive!
