Life's Rainbow
By amethyst
25 September 2005
Life is full of colours that surround us day by day
Colours that make us smile or those that make us weep
Like battlefields splattered red with the blood of those
So dear to us, that by our side we wished to keep

Blue for the days we remember them, memories lasting forever
Yellow sunshine that brightens the days when we feel good
Orange sunsets that bring the worst days to an end
Golden hopes that tomorrow will be better

Green for the envy of what others have got
That we cannot attain

White for the innocence of a child
Not knowing if in life they can sustain
To see it through til the end
Black for our darkest moments turns to earth brown
As at the end of lifes rainbow
We are born again

Sorry, I don't like this. It's full of cliches and the format's distracting especially at the beginning. The colour associations are way too obvious for me. Remember I'm talking about the writing, not you personally! Thanks for the read.
