'Twas the week before Christmas
And all round the mall
There was nowhere to park
No spaces at all

We searched down the bottom
We looked up the top
Christ! its got worse
Now there's no place to stop

At last! there's a space
Someone must have gone
Oh no! another car
The space race is on

Everyone ready
Hold on tight kids
As into the space
Our family car skids

As out of the car
The family spills
The most festive of sounds
The ringing of tills

The shops are too hot
The music's too loud
I can hardly breathe
Let alone move in this crowd

I'm loaded with bags
Things cannot get worse
The tills go on ringing
As mum empties her purse

We make our escape
And look for the car
I swear to god
That space wasn't this far

I relax in the car
Then she joyously wails
We'll be back soon
