Dober Tail & Dober Toes (2)
By Carrie
22 December 2007

I put two little poems up because they're so short and simple. Hope that's OK.

I love some of the body parts on the Doberman. I was especially enamoured with these parts. Many Doberman fanciers refer to anything "Doberman" as Dober this and Dober that....just a little affectionate way to describe things. (just so you know where this is coming from)

These are just fond memories, my trying to cheer up, but at the end lines, I fail to stay cheered up. But nevertheless, these fond memories will become cheerful things and I'll hopefully have better acceptance. So, that's the point of these simple little stanzas.

That Dober Tail

A mile a minute it would go,

That Dober stub of a tail,

It didn’t sway in easy flow,

But things stayed on the table.

How expressive, that Dober tail,

Inside his mind I’d know,

Humor abounded without fail,

Back and forth, that Dober tail,

Wish he didn’t go.

Dober Toes

I loved those, his Dober toes,
Raised like a cat’s they be.
He’d slap them down upon the ground,
In a play bow just for me.

Always the clown, that Dober hound,
He’d make me laugh each day,
No smiles abound, now that he’s not around,
I miss his foolish ways.
