We are the perfect couple in the weak eyes of our friends. Unified, as one until we touch the cursed prism.. We move at different speeds, live on separate wavelengths. You are the red, a blatant warning, a fast-track girl. Vibrant, demanding, you never look back. Red, the colour of success, impetuous, you burst out of the glass in urgent search of another sun. I am the violet, shrinking, sluggish-steady. I tremble in your wake. I am constant and I am true, the tortoise who will never catch your hare. I leave the prism with a toe-poke, afraid of what may come. And the colours in-between us, orange, yellow, green, blue and indigo... well, let's just call them your lovers it's far easier that way.
