Embrace
By Hellcat
09 January 2008
As the day's light slowly fades,
She's transported to another world,
To feel every touch and kiss,
And never to feel cold or hurt.

Loving the night that hides her shadow,
She's held within his arms so strong,
Holding her close as they both know,
That his embrace is where she belongs.

Thinking only of his heart,
Fingers running through his hair,
and to find that soul that resides within,
She looks to his eyes so full of care.

In his absense, she longs for him,
His touch so tender it may bring a tear.
Wishing he were by her side when,
She's so contented just to know he's near.

He'll keep her safe and save her heart,
for this she'll never know harm.
The only thing she can think of now,
Is to be held within her lover's arms.

That was beautiful but I am more a romantic than a poet.
