Summertime Song

This  one  for  the  syllabic  beancounters.

And i apologise  to  George

Summertime Song

Summertime  ,
and  the girls  are  parading ;
brown  thighs flashing
neath their  tiny  white  shorts.

Their   halter  tops
leave their  bosoms  half  showing ;
so take long deep breaths , men ;
please  don't  sigh.

Some day just maybe,
your stares long held will  reward  you;
A halter  might  snap,
leave a glory  revealed.

But  till  that  moment
you'll  just  have to  keep  hoping
that your wife is  not  standing nearby.

Summertime:
let's sing halleluia,
gaze  our  fill  on
all  the beauteous  sights;

Memory  lasts
through the dreary  long  winter,
so just let it  warm  you:
flame --  stay high.

Sorry, Brian: you know I can't resist tossing in a song title!

You happen to have chosen one of my all-time fave songs, so I forgive you! 8)

Good to smile!
I don't think this needs a review, although it shows, PJ, that you CAN write something a little below the highest levels you normally achieve!
