Damsons
Damsons
have been acidic
in my mouth.
But damsels
have been sweet.
Their
acidity
came later.

When the fruits fell in their profusion , too many to gather easily, it was fun to watch drunken wasps stagger away from the fermented fruit lying beneath it.
