The third of three poems written this week. I am paying in home goals and this game is no fun because I am losing to the cosmos because my scorecard is marked and because the white towel seems to have been conveniently misplaced. And now my past and my present scrutinised and my future mapped by cause and effect I am the sum of what I have done and what I will do. Einstein for dummies not eternally damned but nonetheless haunted by metaphysics round and round the mulberry bush I go while the prodigal son returns.
