No doubt what category this fits in. I tend to agree with you but aren't we just swapping one belief system for another? Their shared aim is to control the poor peasants | Hi Written by maipenrai (783 comments posted) 14th February 2008 | BBS and thank you for your review, you could well be dead on re belief systems, I have at times thought it strange the way we all seem to need a belief to follow, but if you go all the way back it as always been that way, part of human nature I suppose. as for subtext/meaning , yes I agree, most of what I write is a simple , in your face kind of writing, "if yer's got owt to say lad, then bloody well say it" type of stuff. I'm quite happy with it I just wish they came with a volume control sometimes. | hi Written by maipenrai (783 comments posted) 14th February 2008 | BBS, i did not take your comments as a bad crit, just explaining my "style" of writing Bernie ps, as for the smilie faces etc, just click on it. | Written by Phil (6730 comments posted) 14th February 2008 | .....but the lord generally taketh away. Being a peasant myself, they can all bugger off. Direct - I liked it for that. Phil | Written by Matthiasrising (32 comments posted) 14th February 2008 | Reminds of the vocodor section of Sheep by Pink Floyd. "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want He makes me down to lie Through pastures green he leadeth me the silent waters by With bright knives he releaseth my soul He maketh me to hang on hooks in high places He converteth me to lamb cutlets For lo,m he hath great power and great hunger When cometh the day we lowly ones Through quiet reflection and great dedication Master the art of karate Lo, we shall rise up And then we'll make the bugger's eyes water." Liked your use of dialect throughout. | Thanks Written by maipenrai (783 comments posted) 15th February 2008 | Phil and Matthiasrising for your comments. Bernie |
