Remote control car
By mightymoose
18 February 2008

Warm breath swirls, fogging the windshield
A rumble with the start, a tremble with the yield                                                      Headlights peer deeply into the soul
Sensation of tingling, anticipating the goal.

Moans from within as the engine is heating
Thoughts of resistance were only fleeting.
Then starts the climb with anticipation
Tires rolling onward seek emancipation.

Moving quickly, kissing the hill
Acceleration!  A void to fill!
Pistons pumping, fed by the spark
Burning tires streaking through the dark.

Reaching the top, flying through the air
Suspended in time without a care.
A blissful feeling as the descent begins
Shocks absorbing the impact as it ends.
