I wanted to write a rhyme
about freezing fog and Rime.
Frost and snow may come and go - we see them all the time
But Rime’s a long lost brother - like the third, uncared for Attenborough.
It’s emerged from obscurity to bring crystaline purity
to world full of greyness and grime.
When you’re bundled in your coats like a poor man’s Captain Oates.
And it’s 8 below and it’s time to go.
Just stop and spare some time
for the humble transient Rime.

Rime Written by patterjack (1433 comments posted) 20th February 2008 | I feel quite sure You'd write well about Hoar . patterjack | Written by NathanRoberts (277 comments posted) 20th February 2008 | Some great lines...e.g. 'But Rime’s a long lost brother - like the third, uncared for Attenborough.' and 'When you’re bundled in your coats like a poor man’s Captain Oates.' Until now I'd only encountered Rime as 'The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner' but I am now awoken to the glorious knowledge that Rime is also: a white or milky and opaque granular deposit of ice formed by the rapid freezing of supercooled water drops So I must thank thee for that.
