Lets make a Necklace
By jjluver
20 February 2008

This is going to be in a childrens story book of poems I'm writing. Anyone wanna help me?

Lets make a necklace said mommy one day
I smiled back at her and began to play
With the small little beads; one in every color
I love to make necklaces with my mother

On goes a red bead, next is a pink
I looked at all the beads then began to think
What do I want next; orange or green?
I picked up a yellow bead; that makes 13

"We only need one more bead,"
I said and mommy agreed
On went the last bead so pretty and blue
I had lots of fun today, what about you?

I'm sorry I didn't review this before, it is a lovely poem. It is the simple moments we spend with our close ones that mean the most and this poem expresses that beautifully. It reminds me of the first poem I posted on this site called Grandmas Buttons.
