I will never see his face

Wow... in so few words you've created a universe of untold stories, leaving so much to the imagination of the reader. WHY don't you want to see his face in your child? Is he dangerous, abusive, did he use you and abandon you... or is the WHY hidden in yourself for some reason... There are haiku competitions which pay out good money from time to time, and this is easily worthy of a prize.
