The Drunkard's Haiku
By Brett

What introduction is needed for either drunk or haiku?

The Drunkard's Haiku

My affinity
Is with the rain; it pours, falls,
Calms. Then pours again.

I like this one...honestly! It helps that, unlike a couple of your previous offerings I sort of understand the form that you're using........plus I'm a pisshead.

Haiku, natural
Blend. Mix originality
with tradition. Cheers!

Haiku's are great. Short, clear, to the point. Liked it.

There is a slightly alcoholic theme emerging in Brett's ouevre (sp). But this particular one is a very apt analogy.

Cheers!

Thank you, Veronica, they do say write about what you know. I do intend to submit something outside of my naive gin soaked style, I'm just trying to find my feet - literally and metaphorically if you see what I mean.
You have been very supportive to such a new member and I appreciate all your comments.
Bless you V.

...in these days of negative booze stories to find that this made so many people smile. If inspiration from my cerebrally inflamed states can cause a smile then my drinking will not be in vain.
