Old and dull, birth of reality in a mental 'verse

Don't worry folks this was intentionally a rip.
I was asked to respond in writing to Mr Binx' "Neo-Nihilism.."

I added some comic flare. And lit some paper on fire, accidentally.

I throw their words back,
batting each syllable,
crushing the rhymes with each swing.
the haphazard hobby:
no profit, no purpose;
might as well stop while it's still a lost cause.
bury these ashes, still hot in my mind,
old homes and smothered dreams.
I Reverse.
the lies of the past are transcribed.
heaven painted before me.
the tears of holy ones
splash, technicolor, livening my vision.
their shouts echoing: cacophony. brilliance.
the earth is the last to fall into place,
a better horizon, set to my liking:
a perfect form.
new creation.
now don't blink,
don't ignore this perfection.
it's better than it ever was.
without err, without lies.
with preference comes extension,
and extension is the source of illusion.
just like all else before, perfection is laced with holes,
which are designed to trap the mind.
and begin the creative cycle once again. reality. infinity.

Ah. I spotted a little 'comic flare' but to be honest, the second half of this was as ridiculously scatological as its inspiration.

Still, notes on the original claimed anything could be poetry - so this must qualify. (Tongue firmly in cheek and nose held to avoid the whiff of bullshit.)

Not for me - but you can't please everyone. Mr Binx - where ever he is, may love it.

Come on Matthias. Let's see you attack the discipline of a metred and rhymed verse form. Will you accept the challenge?

I'm a free verse guy. Rhymes and meters are products of age-old rules. Rules I occasionally mock in my works. I might dig up something old, within which I obeyed.

Buck authority, for an exciting ride, I say.
