More free write. What do you think?

We’re on the rocks.

Aching heart pain calling us to break.

Working too much, thinking too hard

Making us dull as Jack’s pages,

And giving us the old shakes.

Mr. Knoll, please take us away;

Give us a taste of the grass

On your side of the fence.

I know the grass is greener
And the light is brighter
With friends surrounding.
Those are the nights of wonder,
But where do these high hopes lead?

We’re on the rocks.
Swimming in our insane aging minds.
We know the grass is greener
And the light is brighter
With friends surrounding.
Sitting together on the knoll.

the grass is never greener, we just kid ourselves it is.

Oh, to be contented!

Yep. The point is that it is still better with people, than without.
And I like the word 'knoll.'
