The Biggest Spinner Is The Winner
By mr_soul

How long must we tolerate?

The biggest spinner is the winner

In this state of woe

The prize winner is the sinner

While honesty loses

And a cheque can buy power

Force decisions their way

The poor become poorer

While the rich up their pay

We’ve had this too long

Our politicians are bought

Another war, another bomb

Controlling our thoughts

And we turn out to vote

We pretend to make change

But they all sing the same note

It’s the same again and again

So how long will you tolerate their lies?

How long will you still believe they’re right?

When it’s they who trample all over you

And your human rights

It’s time we reclaimed what we own

It’s time we put up a fight

But united we must stand

Brave we must be

And we must stir up hope

Only then will we be free

Fantastic stuff, this is powerful and captivating. Can almost imagine it in a film. I'm quite stunned by it.
I love the way you used the rhyming patterns in the first and third line to draw the reader in. Brilliant!
