Planet Alpha
By Rattle_Spear

Where are we from and where are we destined to go?

We cannot retrovert time or space my love.
We cannot live in disgrace.
We will have to board a space ship to the Universe.
Perhaps we'll stop over on planet ALPHA?
To elope is unkind?
To run without trace is blind?
We will have to relinquish our bond.
Look at all the harm it's done?

While we are traveling through space.
I'll propose to you once more, my love.
We can then make amends.
Whatever, we'll still remain friends.
We have had our chances.
We have witnessed the swan dances.
Now it's time to move on.
One more kiss, and I'll be gone!
We must never retrogress.
I still love you, I confess!

wow, this is a gorgeous idea but i'm not sure about the first stanza and the planet reference. I got confused! WHat are you trying to say when you mention "planet ALPHA" is it a beginning? a symbol? a new life?

The question marks in that first verse make those lines difficult to interpret, i'm not quite sure what you're saying there.

But i love the second part, all this needs is a little re/defining :grin

hope you're well

A very interesting poem. Is the love past, present or future? I like that you don't force the rhyming and have an almost casual way of talking.
I enjoyed it. :grin
Gee thanx I am thrilled

Could be love lost? You decide. Or shall we let the answer linger in space?
