The letter had been forwarded
by our commander
to be eaten after reading and
washed down with a glass of grappa,
he warned us
to be aware of basements and cellars
for the darkness held many dangers
for virgins such as us,
stay in the attic he wrote,
stay in the light,
Quislings don't like the light.
