Drake The Dragon

Drake was a dark blue dragon. He was greatly protected by his family of 10 or 11. Drake was only a 7 year old dragon that had just learnt how to breath fire like the adult dragons. He had also just learnt how to fly. He spent most of his time flying.
His mum  was a purple dragon that was a 48 year old. His father was also a 48 year old but he was red. All of his cousins were blue and so he fitted right in.
One day Drake was flying around his busy lair when his father shouted out "INTRUDERS". Everybody flew up to the ceiling and then hovered right on top of the huge door. This made it look empty. They were all silent to make it sound empty aswell.
Suddenly, a whole load of cavemen charged in. But then they stopped because they thought it was empty. So they set out to make a fire. But before they could light it, one of Drake's cousins spat a tiny bit of fire to light it. When it lit, all of the cavemen looked up and saw the dragon family. Then they all blew out a lot of fire and killed every single caveman in a matter of seconds. They lived peacefully ever after because every one was scared of their power.

I am a 9 year old and thanks for reading this short story.

And I suppose they all had flame grilled caveman-burgers for dinner that night. Nice to see things from the dragon's point of view for a change. I didn't know they were so sneaky.
Perhaps you could have made it a bit longer so we would be wondering who would win, it's called dramatic tension. It's a good trick
Well done, anyway
Excellent...

...you must write more stories. But don’t forget to read some as well; reading helps a lot with writing.

Hey I like this story very much!
If you find a good picture of a dragon you think looks like drake on the internet you could use the picture to describe him more. Llike if he has shiny scales, maybe a long snout etc. I think this would help the reader to know what He looks like! P.s blue dragons are my favorite!
