Not intended as an in-depth exploration of mythology - but perhaps a starting point for thought.

Persephone is freed. Attis has bled,
yet lives. Osiris is remade, his son
carries the ankh-cross of eternal life.
The young men, Mithras, Baldur, resurrect;
Krishna and Jesus join hands in the sun.

Snow melts, earth warms, the tree of death grows leaves.

Sorry - don't know my mythology well enough or this one!

They are all gods or goddesses who, according to their several religions, were resurrected, usually at the turn of the year from winter into spring. There are others.

Well, of course I like this one! I forgot about Krishna, and couldn't fit Attis into my poem. I'm just amazed by how unoriginal Christianity is on this subject.
