Run
By lauthiamkok
27 March 2008
I wonder
if there is an express
which I can get on
to travel me
to a journey of life
where there is no horizon
where I can run and run.

I wonder
if there is a night
where I can run to and live on
which never lets me down
where there are the moon and the constellations
to deliver me
to a river of dreams
where it never will be awakened by daybreak.

And I wonder
is there a place
where there is a life I will run into
let me rest
and no matter where it will take me
if you ask me,
"Will you go with me?"
I'll say,
"Yes I will!
Yes I will!"

I like this. You seem to paint your longing for a dream with words. I am reminded of a young man who was so - so in love, that he was ready to go to the moon on oneway ticket for his beloved even when she didn't return his love. He was in a different universe.

Thanks again for the writing something here on the reviews.

I remember a song by Electric Light Orchestra - ticket to the moon. Sounds like it is the boy you mentioned above.

It is a beautiful lyric too,

...

I've got a ticket to the moon
I'll be leaving here any day soon
Yeah, Ive got a ticket to the moon
But Id rather see the sunrise in your eyes.

Got a ticket to the moon
I'll be rising high above the earth so soon
And the tears I cry might turn into the rain
That gently falls upon your window
You'll never know.

...
