Since we are talking about riddles....
What is it
That cries out when it is born
And is then forever silent?|

I'm not referring to yours or anyone else's poem for that matter. I expect you have discovered some of your own, but, of course, not on the GW website for certain. | Written by mia_ms_kim (1019 comments posted) 31st March 2008 | I hope fp is wrong. Some clues, please! Mia | Written by NedWilson (26 comments posted) 1st April 2008 | | It is in fact a note played by Gabriel's trumpet! Of course once it has been sounded that note is gone forever! A delicious 14th century riddle! | Written by mia_ms_kim (1019 comments posted) 1st April 2008 | Is this Angel Gabriel we are talking about? What's so special about his trumpet besides being perhaps a celetial instrument? Mia | Written by NedWilson (26 comments posted) 1st April 2008 | | You would have to ask someone wiser and much older than me! | Written by Fledermaus (3307 comments posted) 16th April 2008 | | Haven't got a clue... Considering it is medieval, I won't be surprised if Sue is right though. |
