When I was a kitten I had so much fun
I would bath for hours just lapping up the sun
Now my skin is no longer supple and is getting rather dry
I feel so sad it makes me want to cry

I used to be able to chase my tail
I cannot do that anymore
as I am feeling a bit frail

My eyes used to sparkle
and my coat used to shine
I was the cat's whiskers!
and sure looked fine

But now that I'm older
and I've only got one tooth
I am no longer admired
I feel ugly and uncouth

but there is one thing in this world

that I am sure of and feel proud to say

I have a wonderful Mummy

who loves and cherishes me every single day
